Academic profile

The vision of the Department of Tourism is to become a reference centre that evolves and combines sciences that deal with tourism development aiming at the effective management of modern tourism businesses and organisations.

Erasmus+ is the European Commission's programme for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to contribute to skills strengthening and employability and to support the modernisation of education, training and youth systems in all areas of lifelong learning.

Survey on Tourism and COVID-19

The Department of Tourism showing high reflexes in undertaking research initiatives during the pandemic period and studied how the pandemic crisis affected price levels, technological innovation issues and organizational issues in tourism and hospitality

In a nutshell

In Department of Tourism, our mission is to educate and train scientists in Tourism Studies through an interdisciplinary lens. We combine Social Sciences and Humanities, such as Management, Economics, and History, with Information Science, in particular with digital technologies, visualisation tools, and information systems.
