We invite all students to participate in the 1st workshop titled: "Analysis of Needs and Priorities for Skills Development Using Artificial Intelligence in Tourism and Hospitality" organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "AI-Enabled Skill Building for Tourism and Hospitality: Bridging the Industry–Academia Divide (BIAD)".

The event “Career Day 2026”, organized by the Department of Tourism of Ionian University, was successfully held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The main objective of the event was to connect students and graduates with the labour market and to strengthen the Department’s collaboration with tourism stakeholders and businesses.

On Monday, 16 March 2026, the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University welcomed 90 students from Potamos Primary School and the 4th Experimental Primary School of Corfu “Athenagoreio”, accompanied by their teachers.

The Ionian University Research Day was successfully held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the exhibition space of the Corfu Port Authority, as an open celebration of scientific knowledge, creativity, and innovation, aiming to showcase the rich and multidimensional research output of the University and strengthen its connection with society.

The Ionian University is organizing Research Day on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with the aim of promoting and disseminating the research activity that has been carried out or is currently underway at the Institution to the public.

The successive extensions of the exhibition "...about the Desired University - The Ionian Academy and Lord Guilford" reflect the great success of this initiative.

On Monday, October 13, 2025, the in-person educational part of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) of the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University on "Sustainable Destination Management & Marketing" will begin, which will include a series of seminars, group collaboration of participants in international groups, as well as an educational excursion to points of interest in Corfu. Ionian University participates for the fourth consecutive year in International Fair of Thessaloniki, which will take place from Saturday 7 to Sunday 15 September 2024 (TIF - Helexpo, Egnatia 154, Thessaloniki). The Foundation's presence in the previous three years was a great success, making its participation in the event an institution.

In the framework of the Erasmus Plus project "Joint e-Course on the Sustainable Management of Tourism Destinations" named "SusTour" in which the Ionian University participates as a partner with the academic responsible, Assistant Professor of the Department of Tourism Dr Naoum Mylonas, will be held in Corfu on Friday, April 5, 2024, the Second Dissemination Event of the Project, entitled "Challenges in Sustainable Tourism".

The Department of Tourism of the Ionian University organized on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, a meeting inviting all tourism stakeholders, in order to discuss issues related to tourism in Corfu and the region of Ionian Islands and specifically research and innovation in tourism with the aim of activating the new "Regional Smart Specialization Strategy".
