Internship is implemented within the framework of the Programme "Internship of Higher Education of the Ionian University". The Programme is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and is co-funded by National Funds through the Operational Programme "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" of the Hellenic National Strategic Reference Frameworks (ESPA) 2014-2020. As Intermediate Body acts the Special Management Service of the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning". The Department's Internship is part of the Programme "Internship of Higher Education of the Ionian University”.
Scientific Coordinator for the Internship of the Department of Tourism is the Assistant Professor Sofia Karabela, while the Assistant Professor Miltiadis Botsis serves as Deputy Scientific Coordinator (decision No 1/13-09-2021 of the Provisional Assembly).
