The international conference Towards Resilient Destinations: Integrating Nature, Culture and Tourism for Sustainable Futures (NEST) will take place in hybrid format on April 23–24, 2026 at the Ionian Academy, Corfu, Greece, and will also be available online.

On Monday, 16 March 2026, the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University welcomed 90 students from Potamos Primary School and the 4th Experimental Primary School of Corfu “Athenagoreio”, accompanied by their teachers.

Ionian University actively participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the European project “AI-Enabled Skill-Building for Tourism and Hospitality: Bridging the Industry–Academia Divide (BIAD)”, which took place on 3–4 February 2026 at the premises of the project’s lead partner, Forma Camera, in Rome.

The main phase of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Sustainable Destination Management and Marketing” was successfully completed in Corfu from 13 to 17 October 2025. The programme was organized by the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University within the framework of the Erasmus+ initiative, fostering a dynamic environment for learning, international collaboration, and exchange of experiences. The programme was coordinated by Professor Christina Beneki and Assistant Professor Naoum Mylonas.
