The international conference Towards Resilient Destinations: Integrating Nature, Culture and Tourism for Sustainable Futures will take place on 23–24 April 2026 at the Ionian Academy, Corfu, Greece. Interested participants are invited to submit an abstract by 31 January 2026.

The main phase of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Sustainable Destination Management and Marketing” was successfully completed in Corfu from 13 to 17 October 2025. The programme was organized by the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University within the framework of the Erasmus+ initiative, fostering a dynamic environment for learning, international collaboration, and exchange of experiences. The programme was coordinated by Professor Christina Beneki and Assistant Professor Naoum Mylonas.

The successive extensions of the exhibition "...about the Desired University - The Ionian Academy and Lord Guilford" reflect the great success of this initiative.

The University Gym of the Ionian University will hold its first hike on Sunday 16/02/2025, in the area of Nymphes. Those interested can register on the days and times of the program, to the responsible teachers or upon request with the hiking manager Angeliki Mavropoulou. Due to limited places, a strict first-come, first-served order will be observed.
