New Special Issue in an International Journal with the Participation of Ionian University Professors

Participation of faculty members of the Ionian University as Guest Editors in the Special Issue entitled “Intelligent and Multimodal Human–Computer Interaction: From Brain–Computer Interfaces to Assistive Systems,” published in the international scientific journal Multimodal Technologies and Interaction (ISSN 2414-4088, Impact Factor 2.4).

The Special Issue focuses on recent developments in the field of intelligent and multimodal Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), with particular emphasis on Brain–Computer Interfaces (BCIs), assistive technologies, and interactive systems that utilize artificial intelligence. Its aim is to explore how modern computational methods, such as machine learning and deep learning, can improve interaction between humans and digital systems through the use of physiological signals, multimodal inputs, and adaptive interfaces. At the same time, the International Annual Conference of Communication Laboratories in Greece and Cyprus, cclabs2026 (www.cclabs.gr), is collaborating with the Special Issue “Intelligent and Multimodal Human–Computer Interaction: From Brain–Computer Interfaces to Assistive Systems” of the scientific journal Multimodal Technologies and Interaction, strengthening the connection between the conference’s research activity and international scientific publication.
Following the presentation of papers at the cclabs2026 conference and the submission of the full article, one paper will be selected for free publication, after peer review, in the above Special Issue of the journal.
