The Ionian University Research Day was successfully held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the exhibition space of the Corfu Port Authority, as an open celebration of scientific knowledge, creativity, and innovation, aiming to showcase the rich and multidimensional research output of the University and strengthen its connection with society.

Ionian University actively participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the European project “AI-Enabled Skill-Building for Tourism and Hospitality: Bridging the Industry–Academia Divide (BIAD)”, which took place on 3–4 February 2026 at the premises of the project’s lead partner, Forma Camera, in Rome.

On Monday, October 13, 2025, the in-person educational part of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) of the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University on "Sustainable Destination Management & Marketing" will begin, which will include a series of seminars, group collaboration of participants in international groups, as well as an educational excursion to points of interest in Corfu.
