Two workshops titled "Analysis of Needs and Priorities for AI-Enabled Skills Development in Tourism and Hospitality" were successfully completed as part of the European Erasmus+ project "AI-Enabled Skill-Building for Tourism and Hospitality: Bridging the Industry–Academia Divide (BIAD)."

We invite undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as PhD candidates, to participate in the online workshop entitled: “Needs and Priorities Analysis for Skills Development through Artificial Intelligence in Tourism and Hospitality”, organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation project “AI-Enabled Skill-Building for Tourism and Hospitality: Bridging the Industry–Academia Divide (BIAD)” (WP2).

The event “Career Day 2026”, organized by the Department of Tourism of Ionian University, was successfully held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The first in-person two-day working meeting of the partners of the project PIONEER+ (Pioneering Innovation and Entrepreneurship capacity building activities through Digital Transformation), funded by the HEI Initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) under the 4th Cohort, was successfully held on 16–17 October 2025 in Corfu, at the premises of the Ionian University. The Ionian University serves as the lead partner of the project, coordinated by Professor Adamantia Pateli, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Ionian University.

The main phase of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Sustainable Destination Management and Marketing” was successfully completed in Corfu from 13 to 17 October 2025. The programme was organized by the Department of Tourism of the Ionian University within the framework of the Erasmus+ initiative, fostering a dynamic environment for learning, international collaboration, and exchange of experiences. The programme was coordinated by Professor Christina Beneki and Assistant Professor Naoum Mylonas.
